The Department of Nuclear Equipment HITEC develops devices used in medicine based on the linear electron accelerators emitting photon and electron beams as well as devices operating in conjunction with them, such as therapeutic tables. We also offer protective shielding doors adapted to each type of medical accelerator bunkers.
Our latest project in the field of medical accelerators is a device for intraoperative radiation therapy. It is an electron accelerator with a wide spectrum of emitted radiation energy and with a large range of movements in the field of work-operating field. This precise device irradiates the lodges immediately after removal of the tumour, still during surgery in the operating room. This type of therapy can significantly reduce the total time of treatment and improve the quality of life of patients. The Intraoperative accelerator can be used for the treatment of breast cancer, as well as: abdomen, anus, pancreas, sarcomas and shallowly located diseases in children.
